DEInnov Tech Private Limited ("we", "us") operates TagPing smart vehicle QR tags. Privacy is the core of our product: we connect people about a vehicle without exposing anyone's phone number. This policy explains what we collect and why, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Tag owners: name, mobile number, optional email, vehicle registration number, type, model and colour, optional emergency contact, and notification preferences.
• People who scan a tag: the contact reason and any message you type. If you place a masked call (or the owner requires verification), your mobile number, verified by OTP.
• Technical data: a keyed hash of your IP address (not the raw IP) for spam and abuse prevention, and basic device information for scan statistics.
• Orders: name, phone, email and shipping address to deliver stickers. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see your card details.

How we protect it

• Phone numbers are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are never shown on scan pages.
• Calls are bridged through a virtual number by our telephony partner (Exotel), so neither party sees the other's number.
• Your vehicle number is partially masked on the scan page by default. You can hide it fully.
• Access to our admin systems is restricted and audit-logged.

How we use it

• To deliver alerts, messages and masked calls to the right owner.
• To send OTP codes and notifications you have enabled (SMS, WhatsApp, email, push).
• To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to enforce usage limits.
• To fulfil sticker orders and provide support.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Sharing

We share data only with processors needed to run the service: telephony and messaging (Exotel), email delivery, payment processing (Razorpay), and hosting providers — each bound by confidentiality obligations — or when required by law.

Retention

Scan records and visitor phone numbers are deleted automatically after a limited retention period. Call and message logs are kept while your account is active so you can review them. Deleting your account removes your profile and unlinks your tags immediately.

Your rights

You can access and correct your data in your dashboard, withdraw consent for optional notifications at any time, and delete your account from Profile. For other requests or grievances, write to info@deinnovtech.com.
